Student's Right to Cancel This Agreement
International College of Naturopathy
You have the right to cancel this agreement, including any equipment or other goods and services included in the agreement, and receive a full refund (less a deposit or application fee not to exceed $100) until: (a) midnight of the first day of instruction for regular courses. Your cancellation takes effect when you give written Notice of Cancellation to the Director of this school at the address above. Any written expression that you wish not to be bound by this agreement will serve as a Notice of Cancellation of this agreement if provided to the school by midnight of the first day of instruction. If you mail your Notice of Cancellation to the school, it becomes effective as of the postmark, if properly addressed with proper postage. You are due a complete refund within 30 days after the school receives a valid Notice of Cancellation. However, if you have received any equipment, you must return it to the school within 30 days of the date of the Notice of Cancellation. If you do not return it, the school may deduct the documented cost of the equipment from the amount of the refund.

REFUND POLICY
Refund During Cancellation Period

The school shall refund 100% of the amount paid less a reasonable deposit on application fee not to exceed $100.00, if notice is made prior to or on the first day of instruction. All refunds will be paid within 30 days of cancellation or withdrawal.

Refund After Cancellation Period

If a student withdraws from their course after the cancellation period, the student is entitled to only a partial refund. The refund policy is pro rata to the 60 percent point of the course. The formula is as follows:

Total Amount Actually Paid For Instruction, (Includes all fees, Instruction but no equipment) - Registration Fee = Adjusted Amount Actually Paid for Instruction
Adjusted Amount Actually Paid for Instruction x

Hrs. not received but for which the student has paid.

Hrs. for which the Student has Paid

=
Final Refund Amount
Cancellation Refund Example
A student enrolls in the Naturopathic Practitioner Program and pays $8,000, including a $100 registration fee. The student cancels on the first day of class. The student's refund would be $7,900 ($8,000 less the $100 registration fee).

Withdrawal Refund Example

A student enrolls in the Naturopathic Practitioner Program and pays $8,000, including a $100 registration fee. The student withdraws after completing 75 percent of the course. The student would not receive a refund, because he or she has completed over 60 percent of the program.
Student Tuition Recovery Fund

The Students Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) was established by the Legislature to protect any California resident who attends a private postsecondary institution from losing money if they prepaid tuition and suffer a financial loss as a result of the school closing, failing to live up to its enrollment agreement, or refusing to pay a court judgment.

To be eligible for STRF, you must be a California resident and reside in California at the time the enrollment agreement is signed or when you receive lessons at a California mailing address from an approved institution offering correspondence instruction. Students who are temporarily residing in California for the sole purpose of pursuing an education, specifically those who hold student visas, are not considered California residents for this purpose.

To qualify for STRF reimbursement you must file a STRF application within one year of receiving notice from the Bureau that the school is closed. If you do not receive notice from the Bureau, you have four years from the date of closure to file a STRF application. If a judgment is obtained you must file a STRF application within two years of the final judgment. It is important that you keep copies of the enrollment agreement, financial aid papers, receipts or any other information that documents the moneys paid to the school. Questions regarding the STRF may be directed to the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education, 1027-10th Street, Fourth Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814-3517, 916-445-3427.

The Advanced Holistic Health Practitioner Training is a Registered Course for Continuing Education and does not contribute toward STRF.
